ABOUT BETTY

BIOGRAPHY
A former Art Teacher with over 30's years at Tertiary level, teaching Sculpture, Drawing and Painting at Federation University, Ballarat, Betty has concentrated on her own development in creating sculpture, drawing and painting since her retirement in 2005.
Her love of travel to places like Galapagos, South America, South Africa, Turkey and Europe has inspired her art visually, imaginatively and creatively.
Receiving an invitation, then being awarded a 5th prize in 2011 and a 3rd in 2015 at The Florence Biennale, Florence, Italy, opened her eyes to the Contemporary overseas art scene. Betty has received other prestigious Art Awards, including awards with The Association of Sculptors of Victoria, in 1996, 2000, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2015. The Contemporary Art Society of Victoria, 2007, 2013 and 2017.
In 2018 Betty received one of Art Tour International Magazines Top 60's Masters Awards in New York, New York, USA, displaying her Art work in Grimandi Art Gallery this was followed up with a Solo Exhibition in June 2019. Betty has exhibited in 6 Solo Art Exhibitions, with the 2019 Solo Exhibition in New York, USA and over 180 group Shows, including The Metropolitan Gallery Art Museum, Las Vegas, USA IN 2017.
Betty's work is exhibited at Federation University, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia and private collections in Australia and overseas. Betty is published in World Wide Art Books, Curated by Despina Tun berg these include:

Her media includes watercolour, pen and ink, mono printing, carving wood and stone, oxy welding sheet steel, and modelling wax for bronze casting.
